Mojo Birthday card

Hello!!  I'm back!!
At least for one post!
My blog posts are few and far between lately.  Life just seems to get in the way of crafting, and it's hard to find time to steal away to my craft room.

I did happen to find a couple hours the other day to hide away and put together a little birthday card.  It felt sooooo good to be crafting again!!

I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday to help get the creative juices flowing again!

Here's a little birthday card I created with the help of the Mojo 464 sketch.

Sorry for the poor picture quality!  I used Verve's Plain Jane Happy Birthday (no longer available, so glad I grabbed it when I did!) and the flower stamps from Joyful Blooms as background on my sentiment panel.  I also used the heart border die from the Scalloped Trio die set.

So happy to have a little crafting time, what fantastic therapy!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a blessed week!

TMS # 359

Happy Tuesday Morning!
I hope everyone had a very happy 4th of July!  Mine was filled with family and fireworks!

We have a great sponsor this week, Jennifer Tomasic, Close to My Heart demonstrator.
She'll be offering this stamp set to the randomly drawn winner.

We have a wonderful Tuesday Morning Sketch this week!

Patti has designed our sketch, and  I will admit I was stumped at first, but after playing around I really like how my card turned out!  This sketch looks great either vertical or horizontal.

I left off any sentiment so that the card can be used for any number of occasions.  I used Altenew's Persian Motifs to create a background.  Using black embossing powder, I heat embossed the images.  I used a water brush and Distress inks to color in the flowers. My seam binding ribbon was dyed with Distress ink and water.  I gathered the ribbon in the middle and added a pretty flower button to the center.  As you can see, this sketch looks great no matter which way you turn it!

Be sure to stop and see what the rest of the team has created for you!

Now it's your turn!  I can't wait to see your creation!

I am sad to say that this will be my last Tuesday Morning Sketch post. (at least for some time)
I have recently changed jobs and my daily commute time has increase by an hour and a half.  My actual work day has also increased from 6.5 hours a day to a full 8 hours.  Losing those 3 hours a day has been a little rough, so after much thought and prayer, I have decided to take a break from the Design Team.  This has not been an easy decision.  The TMS design team is an awesome bunch!  They have been supportive and understanding and I couldn't ask for a better team!  I will miss them!
Hopefully I will be back sometime in the future!

Thanks for all the wonderful support and encouragement over the last couple of years!

TMS and DRS!!

Happy Tuesday Morning everyone!
I am so happy to be back sharing another great Tuesday Morning Sketch!

Our sponsor this week is returning and resident sponsor, DRS Designs.  We love DRS Designs, their stamps are wonderful!  Such a wide variety of deeply etched red rubber stamps available in mounted and unmounted for your ease.  The prize is a $10 voucher.

So now for the sketch....

and my card....

I love this wreath image, so I decided to make my first Christmas card of the year with it!
I colored in the berries with Prismacolor pencils, then used my Misti to place the sentiment in the middle.  Some Stampin Up ribbon ties all the pieces together!

TMS 357 and Oddball!

Welcome back for another Tuesday Morning Sketch!!

We have a new sponsor to go with our new sketch!

Our sponsor this week is new to TMS.  Please welcome Oddball Art.  This a fun Etsy store where you can find the "perfect combo of sweet and sour glittering up the grunge" images.  These are great for those who prefer the eclectic and artsy.  The prize is 3 digis of winner's choice.

Here's the sketch that Patti created for us....

And here is my take....

I decided to use Oddball's image, Newsprint Flower to create a pretty background.  I colored the center part of the flowers with Copic markers.  I decided to go with a classic red and black color combo.  I used three red buttons for the small circle elements on the sketch.
I left off any sentiment so this card can be used for a wide variety of purposes.
This was a fun and easy card to create!

Need more inspiration?
Check out the what the rest of the DT created.

Jenée - has the week off!

Congratulations Kelsey!!

Our sponsor this week is one of my favorites, All Dressed Up!
They have some of the cutest images!

and now for this week's sketch....

And my card featuring All Dressed Up's Looking Good

I colored this cute image with Prismacolored Pencils.  I finally got to use the looped circle die from Simon Says Stamp!  A die cut banner and some cute home-made enamel dots finish my card!

Be sure to stop by and leave a little love for the other DT members.  I'm not the only one who has a graduate this year!

It is Tuesday, but it sure feels like Monday!  Three day weekends are nice, but I always feel like I'm behind the rest of the week!

We have a fun new sponsor this week, Pink and Main!
The Pink and Main shop has wonderful stamps for cards, scrapbooks and planners.  She also has a great selection of dies at very reasonable prices!  The prize is $15 store credit.

Want a change to win the store credit?  Just play along with us this week, link up your card and your may just in some cute new images!

Here is the sketch......

and here is my card.....

We have lots of graduations this year, my daughter, my niece and my nephew.  Plus all my daughter's friends!  This card is for my nephew.  I embossed the background paper, then added a layer of pattern paper, then my image.  I also used my Silhouette to cut out the graduation cap.  No coloring on this card, just some layering.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT made to share with you!

TMS #353

Happy Tuesday Morning!
Yes, I know it's a little late, but life is going full tilt right now and I just couldn't get the card done on time!  So let's get to this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch!

We have another great sketch this week and Melissa has a fun prize for one random entry!

If you're like me, you have lots of graduation cards to make.  We have a full calendar this year when it comes to graduation open houses!

So I used this week's sketch to make one of the many cards I need!

The card actually came together quickly after I finally had time to sit down and create!  I used a Unity Itty Bitty stamp set for the compass image and a little wood veneer heart charm for the accent piece.  On the inside he sentiment reads " Go in the direction of your heart".  No coloring this week, just stamp and go!

Be sure to stop by and see what he rest of the DT created this week!
