Tuesday Morning - Anything Goes!

Welcome back Tuesday Morning Sketches fans!
Are you ready for the Holidays?
I am ready for some family time, but I still have some wrapping to do and hopefully all the presents will arrive in time!
To give us time to enjoy our families, this will be a two week, anything goes challenge.
So try something new, use those new crafty goodies! This is a great time to be creative and show us your style!
Melissa is sponsoring this week with a gift card or shopping voucher.  To where will be a surprise!

For my card this week, I am sharing this CAS Christmas card.
This is a simple and fun card to make.  Great for mass producing.  The image is from Penny Black's White Christmas.  I stamped it on water color paper and used Inktense pencils and my water brush to create a water colored look.   I added some stars to the sky using a white gel pen.  Cut out the image, matted it on an over-sized red mat, added some twine and adhered to my card front.  Nice and simple!

Be sure to stop by the other Designer's blogs, they have some wonderful projects to share with you!

GIU Day 5!

Where has this week gone?
I've had a great time sharing my Unity cards with you this week!
I've really enjoyed every one's wonderful comments, I am sad to see it come to an end.
I hope you will continue to stop by my blog every now and then.

Today I have two cards to share, both were made with Unity's Winter Greetings set.

First up is a fun little Christmas card.

I used the sketch from this month's Be Inspired Challenge.
After coloring this fun little snowman, I added some glitter to the trim on his hat and jacket.
I also added some Smooch Pearlized Top Coat to the die cut Christmas lights and the stand of lights the snowman is holding, to give them some glimmer.
Here's a closer look at the shimmer on the lights.

My second card is a Thank You card, made with the snowflakes from the same set.

I stamped the snowflakes repeatedly with Versamark ink.  After heat embossing with clear EP, I used Distressed ink to color the snowflake panel.  Die cut the Thanks from silver glitter paper and popped it up with foam tape.  Quick and easy thank you note for all those Christmas gifts!

Remember to leave a comment.  I will draw a name from all the comments left this week.  The winner will receive two Itty Bitty stamps of their choice.

Thanks for such for sharing in my GIU week!  Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!!

God bless!!

GIU Day Four!

Happy Thursday everyone!
Time for today's Growing in Unity card!

I needed a card with an encouraging message, found just the right sentiment in Unity's Blossom by Blossom set.

I also used the blossoms from the Aug. 2014 Layers of Life set, Everything Matters, to create a pretty frame around the sentiment.  Added some SU Carmel ink around the edges of the layers to give it a vintage look.  Used Distress ink to dye the seam binding, this is a great technique to use when you don't have the right shade of ribbon in your stash.

Thanks again for dropping by!

Remember to leave a comment.  I will pick one winner from the comments left all week, the winner will get their choice of two Itty Bitty's

God bless!

GIU DAY 3!

Welcome back to day three of my GIU week!
Thank you all so much for the sweet comments!
Today I am sharing a sweet little CAS card using Unity's Itty Bitty, O Holy Night.

Created a window card by die cutting a circle and adding the town sky line and a Christmas star.
Here's a close up so you can see the dimension.

Here's another card I featured on my blog earlier this year using the same stamp and the same evening sky look.  I stamped the city sky line repeatedly until it fit across the card.

Can you tell I really like this stamp?

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have been enjoying the week as much as I have!

Remember to leave a comment.  I will randomly draw from all comments left this week.  The winner will receive two Itty Bitty's of their choice.

God bless!!

And here's my inspiration card,

I used a rectangle image panel instead of the oval.  I colored the image with my Copics.  I am having fun learning to color with these markers. Isn't this a fun image! Some ribbon, twine and a button finish off this birthday card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Please visit the other members of the DT, they have some fantastic cards to share with you.

GIU Day 2

Welcome back for another day of Growing In Unity!
Today I am sharing a card using one of the newest Phyllis Harris images, Faith of a Child.
I love Phyllis Harris' designs!  I discovered Unity when I saw a Phyllis Harris image in CardMaker magazine.  My search for that image lead me to Unity and I've been a fan ever since!

I used Inktense pencils and a water brush to color the image.  I used my favorite winter color combo,  blue and silver.  I added some Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink to the rays, it gives them a shimmer that doesn't show in the picture.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

For your chance to win two Itty Bittys of your choice, please leave a comment.  I will pick one random winner from all the comments left during the week.

Hope you come back tomorrow!
God bless!!

GIU, Day 1

I am so happy and excited to be this week's Growing In Unity Designer!!
I love Unity! They have such a variety of stamps! Something for everyone!  Not to mention the great sales and the wonderful staff!

I am starting off the week with a card I made for my brother's birthday.

I actually used the sketch from Unity's September Be Inspired Challenge,  since I didn't get the card done in time to enter it in that challenge, I am sharing it with you today.
I used the set Holy Shiitake to create this fun birthday card!  Love all the pun sets Unity has! They just release more pun sets this past weekend!!
The you. are. old sentiment is from the Consider Yourself Vintage set!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Be sure to leave a comment; at the end of the week I will pick one winner from the comments left.  The winner will receive two Itty Bitty's of their choice!

Remember to stop back in tomorrow!

Winter Wishes

Happy Tuesday!!
This week Tuesday Morning Sketches has a fun challenge!
Our wonderful sponsor this week is the one and only Doodle Pantry!!
Hello, my name is Laurie. I'm just a regular Joe crafter. While trying to find digital images that met my own crafting needs, I decided to draw some of my own, as I had so many "weird" ideas that I just couldn’t locate elsewhere. I truly enjoy what I do and enjoy sharing the creativity that God has given me in the hopes it will inspire others to create too. I have a variety of doodling styles and I like to keep a diverse selection at hand. I hope you can find something you like here and I love to see what customers create.

This is also a challenge week, the last one of the year! Can you believe that?!
For our challenge, we are playing BINGO!

And the BINGO card.  Like any BINGO game, you can vertical, horizontal, diagonal, four corners or if you're feeling really adventurous, you can for a blackout!

Here's my card using the image Winter Wishes.
I used the top row on the BINGO card, jingle bells (die cut bells), ribbon (behind image) and glitter (snowy drifts).

Need more inspiration?  Check out the other Design Team's awesome creations!

Now it's your turn! Remember, this is a judged challenge so  be sure to use the BINGO card to be eligible for the prize!

Have a great week!
God bless!

Holly Jolly Everything!

Welcome back Tuesday Morning Sketch fans!
I hope you all had a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving!
I enjoyed a nice holiday with the family.  No crazy black Friday shopping here, just simple family time!
This week we have a great sketch to play with and a wonderful sponsor.
Our sponsor this week is returning sponsor Craft Classes Online

Craft Classes Online (CCO) brings multiple Creative Arts Instructors together on one site to provide students with the best choice in online craft workshops. Classes are advertised on the CCO website, but are paid for and held on individual instructor's blog/website. This enable instructors to have more freedom and flexibility in their independent businesses.

Our instructors offer online workshops that are engaging, affordable, and time-saving. Students from across the globe can learn any number of techniques and creative projects from the comfort of their own home and on their schedule.

On our blog, My Creative Life 2014, we issue challenges to help us use all of our craft supplies during the year. More inspiration, home of the 4-product challenge, and now we've included videos.

We are excited to be sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge Blog. You can view our class list on our website atwww.CraftClassesOnline.com. We are bringing in more instructors throughout the Spring 2015, so check back often. Sign up for our newsletter. Visit us on our Facebook page, too! One lucky winner will receive a free seat to an online workshop valued at $25 or less.  Good Luck

Are you ready for the sketch?

  Looks fun, doesn't it?

Here is my card.

I used the Everything Jolly set by Technique Tuesday to create this sparkling Christmas card.  I stamped the sentiment in Vesamark ink, then heat embossed with some red glitter EP.  I used the same red glitter EP on the two hearts before fussing cutting them out and adding them to my banner.  The stars were also stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold EP.  The red striped background was created by inking up a striped embossing folder with some Distressed Ink before embossing on white card stock.

Now for some more wonderful inspiration, check out what the other team members created.

Oh Christmas Tree

Who's ready for another fun Tuesday Morning Sketch?
We have a great sketch to get you going on your Christmas cards.  With this simple sketch, you can mass produce some wonderful cards.
Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Dies R Us!

Who couldn't use some new dies for their holiday cards?!

Get ready to play with this weeks sketch!

Looks like the camera gremlins have been at it again! This card looks so much better in RL! The green embossed strip is more of a muted green, not such a bright green and the Noel ribbon is really a rich burgundy color, not the brown that it seems to be in the picture.  I used my Versamark pen and white EP to add some "snow" to the tree branches. A little brass buckle was added to the ribbon for accent.

I decided to make another card using this sketch.  I used an older Stampin Up set to create these fun Christmas trees.  I am loving the aqua and grey color combo this year! I used silver EP powder on the trees then fussy cut them out.  Used Distress Ink to add some color to the snowflake strip.  A little bit of tinsel ribbon adds to the fun!

Now it's your turn to play!

Here's the awesome sketch we get to play with...

I used the HO from the Sweet Warm Ups Outline set.  I used the HO x 3, to create this fun little panel.  I used Distress maker to color in the stripes.  The papers are from DCWV's Christmas Basics stack that I picked up last year on clearance.  I opted to use some ribbon for the fishtail banner piece.  I picked up the ribbon at our local dollar store.  The cute Santa hat brad is from a kit I purchase years ago.
This week we are lucky to have some of Diane's Design Team members joining us.  That means even more awesome inspiration!  Be sure to check out their creations!

Anniversary Wishes

Sharing an anniversary card I made for my brother and SIL.
Thanks Verve for the great sketch that gave me the inspiration for my card!

I used the swirl accent from Verve's Peace on Earth stamp set and the Anniversary Wishes stamp from the On Occasion stamp set.
Inked up the doily for a vintage look.  Die cut and embossed two hearts, one from pink card stock and one from vellum. Added some twine, button and some Shine Bright sequins, to finish off the card.

Who's ready for a fun Tuesday Morning sketch?

We also have a wide range of digital papers and cut files for all your crafting projects. Our low prices reflect our belief that crafting should not only be fun but affordable too!!

Now for the sketch -

I used the image Tiny the Turkey to create a fun Thanksgiving card.  I colored the image with Copics.  I am still learning how to use these markers so my coloring is not the best.  Created the pumpkin using three ovals I punched from white card-stock and then colored using Distressed Inks.  Some burlap for texture and some falling leaves finish off my card.

Doodle Pantry takes pride in creating a diverse selection of doodling styles, like realistic or whimsical, and all of which are family and kid friendly illustrations.  We hope you enjoy our wide variety of styles for every family occasion!

I choose to use the squirrel from Doodle Pantry's Calendar Minis set to create a fun Belated Birthday card. (Yep, late again!)  Inside it says, I missed your birthday!
Found these cute wood veneer shaped buttons on a recent trip to Hobby Lobby.  Inked this one up with Distressed Inks before adding a bow and adhering it to the card.  A little bit of ric rac and twine finish off the card.

Home - where the journey starts

Quick post so I can share a card I made for my son who just bought his first home!  So proud of him!
I am combining some awesome challenges today.
The sketch is from CAS(E) This Sketch and the topic from CASology!

I used Unity's Itty Bitty stamp called Begins at Home.  I stamped the house image in Versamark the stamped it on white card-stock and heat embossed it with clear EP.  Used some Distressed Ink to add the color to the image outline.  Quick and simple like a CAS card should be!

Which witch is which?

Sharing a little Halloween card I created thanks to the sugar sketch over at Sugar Pea Designs.
SPDSS13

I used this cute little witch from Tiddly Inks.  The colors are not very "Halloweeny" because the current Tiddly Ink challenge is to use non-traditional Halloween colors.  I also tried to create a moon behind the witch using a circle die cut and some Distressed Inks.  After inking up the moon I flicked water onto the circle to give it a cratered look. (not sure is cratered is a word!)
I also finally used my spider web die I purchase on a going out of business clearance sale.  I added a little bit of confetti to make the wand appear to be zapping magic.

A Sweet Tuesday Morning Sketch!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Not only do we have a great sketch, but we have one of my favorite sponsors!
This week we are sponsored by Sweet and Sassy Stamps!
I have been a fan of Sweet and Sassy for a while now.  They have some really sweet stamps!
If your not familiar with them go check them out now then come back and play along!
Here is this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch!

I used Sweet and Sassy's Happy Happy stamp and die to create this fun little card! I stamped one of the sentiments from the set in the lower right hand corner before embossing it with my cloud embossing folder.  I stamped the sun and the clouds and the used the matching dies to cut them out! Colored the sun with Copics.  I am starting to dive into the world of Copic markers!  The clouds were sponged around the edges with some Distressed Ink.  A few little sequins make for a quick, fun card!

Snowflakes and Swirls

I've started making Christmas cards for the Caring Hearts card drive.
Here is one I created thanks to the October Week 3 Viva la Verve sketch.

I went with a softer color scheme.  I used Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass to ink up the scroll and the swirls behind the snowflakes.  Used the snowflakes from Verve's Merry and Bright set to create the silver embossed flakes.  The Merry Christmas is from Verve's Peace on Earth set. I used some Copic BG32 to color a few snowflake Dazzle stickers and a few iridescent gems.     I also spritzed the scroll with some glimmer mist.  In sparkles in real life!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a great week.
God bless!
