You are my Sunshine!

Quick little post to share a card I made for the Tombow Sunshine Challenge.
Thanks to Viva La Verve for the fun sketch.
Was trying for a shabby country chic look.  What do you think?

A little water coloring, a little distressing and inking
and this is what I got!
One of my favorite songs!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate

TMS # 258 and My Besties!

Woot!Woot!
It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch!
And look who our sponsor is this week...
My Besties has the cutest images and you could win 5 of these big eyed beauties!
Make sure you have plenty of time when shopping, because Sherri has one of the largest selections I've ever seen!
Okay are you ready for the sketch?
Here it is..
 and here's my card....
The image was colored with Prisma colored pencils.  I then add some doodled lines around the edge for added interest.  Added some paper lace, strip of flowered paper, flower border die cut, and a button/twine embellishment.  I added some ink to the border strip and a little distressing to give it a more vintage/shabby look. Added a sentiment label that was also inked around the edges, and some Liquid Pearls to the flower centers.  Love how this card turned out and the image is so adorable and fun to color.
Be sure to drop by the other DT member's blogs and leave a little love.  They have some wonderful cards to share with you!

TMS 257 with a twist!

Wow! Where did the week go!
I hope everyone had a very happy 4th of July!
Are you ready for another fun sketch?  This one has a twist!
The twist is to use blue, green and black!
Our wonderful and generous sponsor this week is Patti Rowe, CTMH Independent Demonstrator.
Now for the sketch -
Lots of fun possibilities and a great sketch for using up those scraps!

I dug out some of my oldest stamps for this card!  Years ago, when I first got the stamping bug, CTMH was known as DOTS.  These were some of the first stamps I ever purchased!
I inked up two present stamps with Distress inks.  I stamped them off first before adding them to the panel to create a background.  Stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment and matted the panel to some black card stock before adding the black twine and button.  Popped this panel up with foam tape.  Used some scraps for the panels and added a vellum die cut edge topped with a strip of paper with some faux stitching.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the other DT members for some wonderful inspiration!

Remember to add the twist (use blue, green and black) to be eligible for the prize! Have fun creating!

TMS #256 with Sweet n Sassy

Hello Tuesday Morning Sketches fans!
I'm back!
We have a wonderful, simple sketch this week.  Lots of fun possibilities with this Tuesday Morning Sketch!
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Sweet n Sassy stamps!
Here's this weeks sketch -

Here's my card -
I used Sweet n Sassy's Happy Happy Stamp and Die bundle.  I colored the sun with my water brush and some Distress inks.   I used three cloud die cuts, two behind the sun and one for the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy's Birthday Greetings clear stamp set.  I tweaked the sketch a little by adding my three enamel dots to the bottom corner, rather than in the top corner.
Be sure to stop by the other DT's blogs and check out their wonderful creations!

Hope you have a fun 4th of July and a great holiday weekend!

TMS #254 with Doodle Pantry

Are you ready for another Tuesday Morning Sketch?!
Melissa has a fun sketch this week, I love the edge element!
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Doodle Pantry.  They have so many wonderful digital stamps, both colored and uncolored!

Here is this week's sketch -

Any here's my take on the sketch -
I used a maze from Doodle Pantry's digital set Mini Mazes.
I needed a thank you card for a wonderful friend who helped me so much during my son's recent graduation open house.  She is totally amazing and I thought this would be a great play on words.  I used a heart shape instead of  an oval.  I cut the maze heart out by hand and then used my scalloped scissors to create a mat.  I inked up the heart mat with Victorian Velvet distress ink then embossed with a Swiss dot  embossing folder.  For the edge element I die cut the front panel with MFT's snow drift die.  I added a fishtail flag for my sentiment.  A little inking around the edges and some string and a few buttons and wallah!

TMS #253 - Make it Masculine

Happy Tuesday everyone!
My blog has been a little quite lately.  My life has been very busy, but hopefully it is back in the slow lane for a while!

I hope you're ready for another fun challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches!

This week is all about Debbie.  Uh - no.  All from Debbie.  That's better.  She is sponsoring this week so it was only fitting to play along with one of her sketches, too.  And the added twist....  Masculine.  With Father's Day quickly approaching this would be a great jumping off point.  Or,  you can create something special for a special guy in your life.  Big or small.

Check out this week's awesome prize!
Prize: Spectrum Noir "Essentials" 6 marker set
Here's the sketch Debbie created for us....

And here's my card this week...
I love this fun digital stamp, All About Dad , from Sassy Cheryl's.  Wouldn't any Dad love to spend Father's day napping in a hammock?
Colored with Prismacolor pencils and a little Distress marker.  Stamped  the word Enjoy on a tag made with a Sizzix die.  Tied the tag to my ribbon with some string and popped the snoozing Dad image up with foam tape. A little inking around the edges and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create!

Remember to make it masculine to be eligible for the prize!
