Happy Day

Using my stash is a goal of mine in 2024.  Used the Be Blessed stamp set from Verve, love this large sentiment stamp!   Unfortunately, Verve closed it's doors a few years ago, but I still love their stamps and sentiments!!
Ink colors are all Gina K - Ocean Mist, Sweet Corn, Tomato Soup, Fresh Asparagus
Sentiment was stamped in gold metallic ink and then heat embossed using clear embossing powder.

Simple card for anniversary, wedding, valentine, or anytime you need to send some love!  No stamping, just a few die cuts, embossing folder, and some silver thread for accent.

Thoughts and Prayers

In Our Prayers cards ready to lift someone up.  Used Tim Holtz Wildflower silhouette stamps in Pumice Stone and Lost Shadow.  Prayer die cut and sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp/Hero Arts collaborative stamp set.

I have not posted on my blog for years!  I have recently started a card group as an outreach project for my church.  I have decided to post the cards created for this group here.  This blog will serve as a log and reminder of the cards I create for this group.  A visual diary that I can use to help keep me organized.  These simple cards were created using old supplies from my stash, I CASEd the layout from a design I found on Pinterest.  Very simple yet pretty card. The card can be created with the floral image and a sentiment and inside greeting can be added later for any event that may arise.

Mojo Birthday card

Hello!!  I'm back!!
At least for one post!
My blog posts are few and far between lately.  Life just seems to get in the way of crafting, and it's hard to find time to steal away to my craft room.

I did happen to find a couple hours the other day to hide away and put together a little birthday card.  It felt sooooo good to be crafting again!!

I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday to help get the creative juices flowing again!

Here's a little birthday card I created with the help of the Mojo 464 sketch.

Sorry for the poor picture quality!  I used Verve's Plain Jane Happy Birthday (no longer available, so glad I grabbed it when I did!) and the flower stamps from Joyful Blooms as background on my sentiment panel.  I also used the heart border die from the Scalloped Trio die set.

So happy to have a little crafting time, what fantastic therapy!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a blessed week!

TMS # 359

Happy Tuesday Morning!
I hope everyone had a very happy 4th of July!  Mine was filled with family and fireworks!

We have a great sponsor this week, Jennifer Tomasic, Close to My Heart demonstrator.
She'll be offering this stamp set to the randomly drawn winner.

We have a wonderful Tuesday Morning Sketch this week!

Patti has designed our sketch, and  I will admit I was stumped at first, but after playing around I really like how my card turned out!  This sketch looks great either vertical or horizontal.

I left off any sentiment so that the card can be used for any number of occasions.  I used Altenew's Persian Motifs to create a background.  Using black embossing powder, I heat embossed the images.  I used a water brush and Distress inks to color in the flowers. My seam binding ribbon was dyed with Distress ink and water.  I gathered the ribbon in the middle and added a pretty flower button to the center.  As you can see, this sketch looks great no matter which way you turn it!

Be sure to stop and see what the rest of the team has created for you!

Now it's your turn!  I can't wait to see your creation!

I am sad to say that this will be my last Tuesday Morning Sketch post. (at least for some time)
I have recently changed jobs and my daily commute time has increase by an hour and a half.  My actual work day has also increased from 6.5 hours a day to a full 8 hours.  Losing those 3 hours a day has been a little rough, so after much thought and prayer, I have decided to take a break from the Design Team.  This has not been an easy decision.  The TMS design team is an awesome bunch!  They have been supportive and understanding and I couldn't ask for a better team!  I will miss them!
Hopefully I will be back sometime in the future!

Thanks for all the wonderful support and encouragement over the last couple of years!

TMS and DRS!!

Happy Tuesday Morning everyone!
I am so happy to be back sharing another great Tuesday Morning Sketch!

Our sponsor this week is returning and resident sponsor, DRS Designs.  We love DRS Designs, their stamps are wonderful!  Such a wide variety of deeply etched red rubber stamps available in mounted and unmounted for your ease.  The prize is a $10 voucher.

So now for the sketch....

and my card....

I love this wreath image, so I decided to make my first Christmas card of the year with it!
I colored in the berries with Prismacolor pencils, then used my Misti to place the sentiment in the middle.  Some Stampin Up ribbon ties all the pieces together!
