Golden Anniversary

Thanks Tuesday Morning Sketches for the awesome sketch!  Totally forgot about my Aunt and Uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary! (shhh, don't tell!) Had to come up with a card, quick! Thankfully Tuesday Morning Sketches had this sketch up, so I took it and ran with it!
Everything for this card was bought at Joann's, except the sentiment stamp, which is an old DOTS stamp.  I think DOTS is now know as Close to My Heart.  The gold embossed paper and the gold foil paper, I bought 2 years ago for my Mom and Dad's Golden Anniversary.  I found the white w/gold flourishes on clearance.  The embellishments are Favorite Findings (on sale buy one get one free!)  So that's it for my last minute card, I think it turned out nice!  Thanks for stopping by and looking!  God bless!

Baby card

It's been a little while since I've posted.  I've been busy the last few weeks.  I came across a new challenge/sketch blog this past week, and since I will be needing a baby/congrats card in the next few weeks, I thought I'd give it a try!

Used the sketch over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp.  Happened across their blog while I was checking on some of my favorite bloggers.  Used their sketch #153 and an old SU set.  I can't remember the name but it comes with baby and bridal shower stamps.  Used up some paper and some really old buttons I had stashed away.  Colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.  Added some Smooch on the stars to give them a little glimmer.  Layered the image on a Spellbinders die and popped it up with foam tape.
Thanks for stopping by my little blog!  God bless!!

Happy Flying

Playing along with Friends with Flair Friday!  And I'm actually posting on Friday!! I was lucky enough last week to be the random comment winner! Received my prize already and am starting to have some fun creating!  One of the stamps was perfect for my DH, so I used it to create this card.  I used sketch #23 over at CAS(E) this Sketch
The airplane stamp was in my Unity prize package and since my husband flies an ultralight aircraft and loves anything that has to do with aviation, I fell in love with this stamp right away!

I masked off my card stock panel, then sponged it with Faded Jeans Distressed Ink using a cloud template.  I stamped the airplane image once with Versafine on the cloud strip.  I then stamped it again on a scrap of card stock and fussy cut the plane.  I then used foam dots to pop it up.  Added the sentiment tag with a brad and added a heart Dazzle sticker to the wings.  Than adhered the panel to a card base that had been sponged around the edges with more Faded Jeans Distressed Ink.
Thanks for looking! God bless!!

Primary Birthday card

Used the Mojo Monday sketch #288 for this card.  I played along with the Sweet and Sassy April Release challenge #2 over at SCS.  The challenge was to use only primary colors.  This is what I came up with.
The present stamp is an old one I've had for ages.  It is an old D.O.T.S. stamp.  Think I'm aging myself here!   The sentiment came from a free set I received from my MIL.  Embossed the blue background.  Used some red/star washi tape. I like how it is a unisex card.  Thanks for stopping by.  God bless!!

Shabby Birthday Card

Used some of my favorite papers on this card! I love the peeled paint look to the center strip.  Sorry I don't remember the manufacturer.  I used the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches as inspiration.    I used a Stampin Up set called Silhouette Sentiments.  Love the tiny images and sentiments in this set.  Used a little seam binding behind the image.
I distressed the edges of the background paper and the edges of the center strip.  Inked the edges with SU Crumb cake.  Simple card.  Thanks for stopping by! God bless!!

Par-tee!

Playing along with Unity's Friends with Flair Friday! (even though it's Saturday!)  Used a stamp set I purchased for $1.00 from Unity a couple weeks ago.  With all the golfers in the family, how could I pass it up!

Used Deconstructed Sketch No. 96 as inspiration for the layout.  Flipped it to fit the image better.  Colored the image with Prismacolor pencils.  Popped the sentiment up with foam tape.  Now I just need to decide which golfer to send it to!
Thanks for stopping by! God bless!!

Plans

Getting my Verve on!  I finally got to play with the stamps I ordered from Verve!  I love the sentiment stamps that Verve offers, very inspirational.  This is one of my sister's favorite verse's.  So when it was on sale last month, I just HAD to get it!  Playing along over at Mojo Monday.

Used some of my paper stash for the background and layers.  Stamped the verse with some Mixed Media Inx and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Made a loopy bow with some twine, added a button and a couple Candi minis.  Thanks for stopping by!  God bless!!

Have a Ball

Finally got a chance to play with The Stamps of Life March club set, Bubblegum4me.  Cute set!! I used this weeks sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I use sketches quite a bit since I am creatively challenged!

I started with a white card base and sponged on some Broken China Distressed Ink for the background.  I then adhered a strip of PP to the middle.  Stamped the sentiment on a fishtail flag and adhered that to a strip of green paper.  Glued the sentiment strip as shown.  I stamped the gumball machine and fussy cut it out.  Colored the machine and gumballs with a variety of water based markers.  Still need practice with markers.  I prefer to use my colored pencils, but thought I'd give the makers a try.  Added some Glossy Accents to the gumballs. I then popped it up with some foam tape,  Easy peasy!!
Thanks for looking!  God bless!!
