Made this card for my niece, who got engaged on Christmas Eve! I used the layout from MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #104. I embossed resist the background using my new Hero Arts Flowers and Vine set. Used MFT Die-namics Die-mix & Match Banners for the "congrats" tab.

Very Special

Created this card for the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge #178.  It is an anything goes challenge with a twist.  The twist is to try a new technique.  Since I am new to card making/paper crafts, almost all the techniques are new to me!  Here I tried the brayered sky technique in the circle with the shadow flowers.  I also tried a faux marble technique on the background using alcohol inks and water.  I really like the way the ink marbled on the paper.  For the layout of the card I used sketch #276 from Verve's Mojo Monday challenge.

My first blog post!

My first blog post! I have no idea what I'm doing, but I am having fun learning!  I am starting this blog on a whim.  I have recently started making cards and someone suggested starting a blog; so here goes!  I made this Christmas card for my Goddaughter.  The challenge was to use non-traditional colors, so I went with teal and peach.  I used a digital image I won from Meljen Designs.
