TMS #336

Happy Tuesday Morning!
I hope you've had a wonderful week and are ready for another Tuesday Morning sketch!
This week we have Debbie's favorite sketch pick.  This is also one of my favorites too, it can be simple or more elaborate, the choice is yours!

Debbie is also sponsoring our prize this week.

And here's the prize she's offering.  Hampton Art "Let It Snow" stamp & die set.  Debbie also decided to spice things up a big, but it's completely optional, let's make this a Winter theme challenge.  I know some of you are probably sick of the snow, but it's cute on a card!

And now for the sketch....

and my card...

I decided to make a simple birthday card since my supply of birthday cards has dwindled.  The sentiment was embossed using Versamark and gold embossing powder.  I cut the balloons with my Silhouette, then added a little Distress ink and some white gel pen to create a highlight.  Some black embroidery floss makes wonderful balloon strings! A few homemade enamel dots finish off my quick and easy birthday card!

Now be sure to stop and leave the other designers some love, they have some great cards to share!

Wild thing!

It's been one of those weeks!
I meant to play along all week with the Bugaboo Birthday Bash Challenges and here it is Friday and I've only got one card done!
So here is my one card for week one of the Bugaboo Birthday Bash.

Made a Valentine with this cute little Lion Topper image from Bugaboo!  I printed it twice, colored it with Copics then fussy cut out.  I cut the paws on the second image and used foam tape to pop them up. I added some faux stitching around the heart die cut.  A few sequins, music notes and glitter heart accent the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!
God bless!!

Happy Birthday with CAS(e) this Sketch!

Had a little fun in the craft room creating this fun little scene and this week's sketch from CAS(e) this Sketch #155!

When I first saw this sketch, I immediately thought of a little road scene, and this MFT road die that I have had for some time, yet I've never played with it!

I had fun putting together this little scene!  The vehicle stamps I have had forever!  They are from a time before CTMH!  It was a DOT's set.  DOT stamps were what got me hooked on stamping!  I colored the vehicles with Copics.  Added a little Glossy Accents to the windows and popped them p with foam tape.  Some little gear sequins from Verve add a fun accent to the sentiment banner.

Okay, so it may not be too clean and simple, but I think it's cute!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
God bless!!

Welcome back for another fun sketch with Tuesday Morning Sketches!
This week we have Melissa's favorite sketch from 2015.

We also have a fantastic sponsor and a wonderful prize!
We are joined this week by a new sponsor.  Jennifer Tomasic Sinsley, Close to My Heart Independent Demonstrator.  She is offering Assorted Edges (D size stamp set).
Woot!Woot! Who wouldn't want this fantastic stamp set!

Now for the sketch -
and here's my card....

Over the last few week's I have been converting all my old wood mount stamps to cling.  This really helps with the storage space!   These are some of my converted stamps.  The stamps I used for this card are some of the oldest in my collection.  Years ago Close to my Heart was known as D.O.T.S.  This was the start of my addiction!
I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored them with Copics.  I added a little bit of black thread to he balloon.  I coated the thread with Tombow Aqua Mono Liquid Glue.  This allowed me to shape the string and adhere it to the card.

Now it's your turn to play!  Can't wait to see what you create!

TMS 334 Happy Day

Good Tuesday Morning!
Welcome back for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch!

We are starting the new year off with some old sketches!
The DT have each picked a favorite sketch from 2015, this week we have Jenee's pick.

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet - home of digital stamps and papers by a variety of artists that are sure to spark every creative taste.

So here is your sketch to play with this week,..

and here is my card featuring Stitchy Bear's Golf Bag image.

I left the image uncolored, which really made for a quick masculine card!  I used an old Stampin Up Hodgepodge Hardware to frame my sentiment.  This simple sentiment can be used for a variety of occasions.  I inked up around the edges of my panels to lend a little bit of an aged look to my card.

Be sure to stop by the other DT blogs, they have some great inspiration ready for you!

Now it's our turn!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Ombre Thank You

Took a little time off of cleaning and tax prep to play this weekend.
Getting my Christmas thank you cards done, now it's time to restock the card stash!
I used the sketch over at MFT Sketch Challenge this week to create this little card.

Instead of searching through my pink paper stash, I inked up a panel with 5 different shades of Distress Ink in various shades of pink and red.  After blending the inks, I spritzed with water for a little more interest.  I then used a Thanks die from MFT's  Many Thanks set, to cut out five words.
I adhered the words to a panel that had been embossed with hearts.  I accented the card with hearts cut from silver glitter paper, some pink sequins, and some silver dots left from the heart die.
I thinks I should have switched the last two thanks for a better ombre look!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!  Hope you enjoyed your visit!!

First TMS of 2016!

Welcome back and happy 2016!
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful start to the new year!
I am happy to be back with the first Tuesday Morning Sketch of 2016!
As is our tradition at TMS, we are starting the year off with the Design Teams favorite sketches of 2015!

Up first is Jessi's pick...
She picked sketch #288

Our wonderful sponsor this week is the one and only Bugaboo!!
I adore their images, fun, cute and sometimes sassy!  A random winner will receive their choice of 7 Bugaboo images!
Now for my card.

I used Bugaboo's Lion Topper to create this fun card.  I first printed the image twice, I then colored the images with Copic's, fussy cut the one complete image, and just the paws and tail from the second image.  I popped the image up in the MFT pierced circle frame.  I then popped his tail and paws up again for some fun dimension! A few die cut hearts and sequins add some cute embellishment.  I kept the sentiment neutral so it can be used for a variety of occasions.

For some more great inspiration, stop by the other DT blogs, they have some great cards to share!
