You're Sew Special
Happy Holy Saturday morning! Took a little time this morning to create a little card for someone special! I received this set from my mother-in-law. She subscribes to a paper crafting magazine that sends a free gift with each publication. Sorry can't remember the name of the magazine and I do not know who the stamp maker is! Just a quick little card I put together before I get to busy with housework. :(
I think this card was almost free to make, the stamp set, patterned paper, and button were all free gifts!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy and blessed Easter!!

Christmas notecard
Is it to early to be thinking of Christmas?! Well with all the snow we have on the ground, it sure feels like Christmas! Took a little time to create a little 3X3 note card. The challenge over at Meljens Designs is to create a little 3X3 note card. Thought I'd get a jump start on Christmas cards!
These smaller cards are great for using up scraps of paper. Added some Sew Easy floss and a few small Dazzle stickers to finish it off. The Candy Cane heart is a digi from Meljen's Designs.
Thanks for stopping by!! God bless!!

Treat Box For You
Well, I was cleaning up my crafting spot; (I don't have a craft room yet, so I just have a "spot" on one end of my dining room table) when I came across a template of a french fry box that I had printed out while back. I found this template on Pintrest. So as you can guess my cleaning turned into creating! I cut the box out, scored it and folded it to see if it would work and look like a french fry box. It did so I put it away in my "to make later" box. Then I was checking out some blogs; (since we're snowed in and my work closed today due to the snow, there wasn't much else to do) when I spied the new Tiddly Inks challenge. Challenge #106 - Anything but a card. I usually do not participate in these "anything" challenges because I am creatively challenged and can't think of anything to make. Well, today I thought, I can do this! I will make a treat box, out of the french fry box I just cut out. So here it is....
The image is a digi that Christy from Tiddly Inks gave away a month or so ago. Yep, that's right, she gave it away, free! Because she is awesome like that!! I sponged the box with SU Melon Mambo and used some scrap PP to line the inside before I folded it and adhered the sides. The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils then matted on some lime green card stock. Added some ribbon and a "for you" tag and voila, finished!! Ready to fill with some chocolate bunnies and eggs! Should be able to get to the store tomorrow for some goodies!
Thanks for stopping by! God bless!!

Fly....
I wasn't going to make any cards this weekend. It's been a bit crazy here and I was really meaning to get caught up on a little housework. Well, I made the mistake of checking on a couple of my favorite blogs when I came across this...
It's a Stampy Sunday Link Party!
It's a challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps and its only for TODAY! The challenge is to make a card TODAY and link it up by MIDNIGHT TONIGHT! So the wheels started turning and I thought about the newest freebie that I downloaded from TAWS just the other day. So I just HAD to sit down and make this card!! Quick little card I made using the free butterfly digi from TAWS. I printed out the butterfly and his flight path from my Printmaster program. I used the free "Fly" sentiment from TAWS to create the flight pattern. I printed the butterfly out a couple times. I colored both images then fussy cut one out. I adhered the cut butterfly to the one on the card base by the body only. This way I could fold up the top wing for added dimension. I sponged the cloud background, punched out a grass border. Added a few punched flowers I had laying around. Used Stickles on the flowers center for a little bit of sparkle. Done! Once I know how I will use this card, birthday, thinking of you, just because, happy spring, etc... I can added that sentiment on a cloud shape punch out and adhere to the top corner of the card. So that's my card that I just HAD to make TODAY! Thanks for stopping by. God bless!!

My first Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge entry!! I have admired Our Daily Bread Designs for quite some time now. They have beautiful images and amazing Bible verses and sentiments. A month or so ago, I won a gift certificate by participating in one of their "For the Love of" hops! Finally had time to try out one of the stamps I received. I love it! Top quality and stamps beautifully! Hope my card did it justice!
This week's challenge over at ODBD is a sketch challenge. I love sketch challenges because I am usually at a loss on what layout to use with an image. I stamped the image, Violet, with Memento Tuxedo black. I colored it with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The flourishes were cut with a Sizzix die from green glitter paper. Inked the edges of the base paper, and fish tail flag. Layered the pieces as shown. I added a small piece of foam tape to the middle of the sentiment tag and used Scor-tape on the ends to give it a rounded look and add dimension to the card. The small flowers on the tag are Dazzle stickers. Thanks for stopping by! God bless!!

Airplane b-day card
Created this masculine birthday card using the sketch over at Mojo Monday. When I am creating a card, I usually stamp/emboss an image three or four times, just in case during the process of putting the card together I mess it up. This way I always have a back up to fall back on. Well, I was going through my box of "back ups" when I found this SU airplane image. Since I have a few masculine birthdays coming up, I thought I'd use the Mojo sketch #283 to help me in the creative process. Believe me, I need all the help I can get. So here's my card.
The blue panel is embossed and then sanded. The airplane and compass are embossed with Versamark and brown embossing powder. The tickets were stamped with Memento brown then spritzed with Walnut stain. Added a little twine and brad to the compass. I sanded and inked the map paper also, but it doesn't show up to well in the picture. Well, that's my take on the Mojo Sketch #283. Thanks for stopping by!
God bless!!

Anna Belle Birthday Wishes
Sharing another birthday card I made using the adorable Tiddly Inks image Anna Belle Flying High. Put this card together for the Tiddly Inks Challenge #105 - CAS. I actually printed and colored this image a couple weeks ago, I just couldn't decide what card to make with her. Then I was checking out some of my favorite blogs when I happened upon the CAS(E) this Sketch blog!
When I saw their sketch challenge this week, the wheels started turning! This is the result.
I flipped the sketch vertical. Very simple and easy card. The coloring was the hardest part. Colored the image, fussy cut it out. Embossed 3/4 of the yellow base, added a strip of PP matted with green. Stamped the sentiment on a label I had laying around and put it all together. So you know how it is, some cards turn out, some don't, I think this one will work! Thanks for stopping by. God bless!!

I Heart Dogs!
Created a little card using the inspiration picture over at The Alley Ways Stamps.
Made this card for my sis who is crazy for Pugs! I used one of the cute digi freebies. Just printed and colored 5 digis. I then punched them out with a circle punch. Punched some different colored circles to mat the images on. Printed out the sentiment and used a tag die to cut it out. Added some ribbon to make a dog tag. The "especially pugs" was computer generated. Easy Peasy!! Head on over the The Alley Way Stamps blog and check out the double challenge they have going on with 3 Girl Jam. While you're there join the hop! Thanks for looking! God bless!!

Easter Wishes
Well, I didn't think I would have time to make a card this weekend, but it's amazing what you can do when you put your housework on hold! Played with this new set I won from the awesome people at Flourishes!!
I stamped and colored the Easter egg image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. When I went to look for paper and ribbon to match, I came across this glittery ribbon I bought years ago and it just happened to match the colors in my image! Love it when things work out like that! (I really should learn to look for paper and ribbon before I color!) I roughly used sketch #89 from DeconstructingJen for the layout. I added some homemade stickles glitter glue to the flowers, and ribbon. I added some Dazzle stickers to the dots on the scalloped edges, and for a little more sparkle, I added three gems to the upper left corner. The picture doesn't really pick up all the glimmer and shine.
Thanks for stopping by! God bless!!
