TMS # 359

Happy Tuesday Morning!
I hope everyone had a very happy 4th of July!  Mine was filled with family and fireworks!

We have a great sponsor this week, Jennifer Tomasic, Close to My Heart demonstrator.
She'll be offering this stamp set to the randomly drawn winner.

We have a wonderful Tuesday Morning Sketch this week!

Patti has designed our sketch, and  I will admit I was stumped at first, but after playing around I really like how my card turned out!  This sketch looks great either vertical or horizontal.

I left off any sentiment so that the card can be used for any number of occasions.  I used Altenew's Persian Motifs to create a background.  Using black embossing powder, I heat embossed the images.  I used a water brush and Distress inks to color in the flowers. My seam binding ribbon was dyed with Distress ink and water.  I gathered the ribbon in the middle and added a pretty flower button to the center.  As you can see, this sketch looks great no matter which way you turn it!

Be sure to stop and see what the rest of the team has created for you!

Now it's your turn!  I can't wait to see your creation!

I am sad to say that this will be my last Tuesday Morning Sketch post. (at least for some time)
I have recently changed jobs and my daily commute time has increase by an hour and a half.  My actual work day has also increased from 6.5 hours a day to a full 8 hours.  Losing those 3 hours a day has been a little rough, so after much thought and prayer, I have decided to take a break from the Design Team.  This has not been an easy decision.  The TMS design team is an awesome bunch!  They have been supportive and understanding and I couldn't ask for a better team!  I will miss them!
Hopefully I will be back sometime in the future!

Thanks for all the wonderful support and encouragement over the last couple of years!

  4. Absolutely beautiful card. The seam binding looks great and I love the stamped background. Looks like a piece out the coloring books that are all the rage.

I am so sad to see you go. I know I've said that to you so many times now. I wish you the best and hope you can join us from time to time.

  5. Kris, I'm so so sad to see you go. Even more sad that your loosing 3 hours of your day every day, so I completely understand. I do hope you try and snatch some time to play still as often as possible - you do need time for fun still. Where the Lord guides he provides. Congrats on the new position!

  6. Oh yes, and as always your card is great!! You've inspired me to do some background stamping/coloring soon I hope. Love the colors and the fact that it's blank for "all occasion".
