Fishing in the Morning

Created this masculine birthday card using Flourishes "Kids Play" stamp set.  Used the brayer to try and create a sun rise background.  Used this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch for the layout.

The background paper I purchased a Hobby Lobby, it's The Linen Door from The Paper Studio.  The stitched ribbon is from the dollar bin at Michaels.  I actually messed up the sentiment when I tried to stamp it directly onto the background paper.  So I cut a label that was left over from another project and stamped the sentiment onto that and adhered it to the card.
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet!

  2. Beautiful card...I love that silhouette and your embellishing! So glad you played along with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week!

  3. And THAT is how I do so many of my sentiments! Woohoo! I LOVE that sunrise background - it turned out great. Thanks so much for coming to play at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week :) I'm going to feature your card on the TMS Facebook page today!

  4. What a beautiful silhouette and your sunrise behind it is lovely! I really like your sentiment label and no one would've known what was hiding underneath! I believe we have all hidden stamping boo boos on our cards in one way or another! :) This will make someone's day, for sure! I am so glad you could play along with us this week at Flourishes for our Timeless Tuesday Challenge! :)

Thank you for your comments, they warm my heart!
